Volunteers are needed to help cook, serve, and clean up at the Mission Marble Falls Community Kitchen. Volunteer times vary, with cooking and prep starting at 9:45 a.m. and serving and cleanup from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Fire department experience not required. Training and responder gear is provided. Assisting at emergencies is expected. Emergencies can be medical, vehicle accidents, assisting other departments, or fires. Participate in strategic planning and administration of the department. Spicewood is organized underneath Burnet County Emergency Service District 9 which provides us with the funding needed for day to day operations. We average 30 calls per month from medical calls, to wildland fires, to car wrecks, to rescue incidents. Training is held every Tuesday from 6pm-8pm.
