The Grayling Fire Department is accepting applications for multiple seasonal firefighter positions. Firefighter applicants MUST possess a State of Michigan Firefighter I & II Certification. Applicants must be able to pass a complete background investigation, drug screen, physical, and have a valid Michigan Driver's License. Help lead volunteer efforts and support operations by managing projects, organizing events, and overseeing administrative tasks.

Assist in removing invasive plants and help re-establish healthy ecosystems to support local wildlife and plant species.

Conduct bird counts and participate in citizen science projects to track and monitor local wildlife species.

Lead nature hikes and deliver educational programs for children and adults, promoting environmental awareness and community engagement.

Maintain hiking trails by pruning, clearing debris, and building footbridges to ensure safe and enjoyable access for visitors.
