Crisis line volunteers provide active listening, emotional support, and community resources to individuals who are in crisis, depressed, suicidal, grieving, homeless, and struggling with mental health issues. Volunteers complete over 80 hours of training to effectively assist those in need.

These advocates provide crisis counseling, emotional support, education, and resources to help survivors recover after an assault. Volunteers receive specialized training to assist survivors effectively.

As a Day of Volunteer, you can offer your time for various one-day events throughout the year, including local, regional, and fundraising events and sports tournaments. Registration is only required on the day of the event, and you will be kept on a contact list by area staff and volunteers.

As an Area Management Team Volunteer, you will provide oversight and decision-making for team processes, marketing, and finances in a local area. This role involves regular meetings and participation in activities and events, utilizing your leadership and organizational skills.

As a Team Volunteer, you will assist at weekly practices throughout a sport’s season or help with logistics, fundraising, or team administration. This role is perfect for those who want to support the team in a more hands-on capacity.

As a Coach, you will be responsible for providing athletes with comprehensive sport training and preparation for multi-level sport competition. Previous experience is not required, as continuous training will be provided, and a commitment for an entire sport’s season is required, including culminating tournament play.

As a Unified Partner, you will train and compete alongside individuals with intellectual disabilities on Special Olympics Montana sports teams. Participation is seasonal for each sport, generally requiring one or more practices per week throughout the season, culminating in tournament play.
