The department is rich in history but progressive in our response and tactics. We have the latest in training and equipment to serve our community. This paid-per-call position responds to alarms or requests for service, acts in emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, extinguishing fires, and performs service work as directed. We do offer part-time staffing and our volunteer members are eligible to work shifts after completion of training. Morral Salt Rock Township Fire Department is looking for certified firefighters and EMTs for part-time shifts from 8:00am - 4:00pm 7 days a week. We are a combination department located in a mainly rural area, and we also cover part of State Route 23 north of Marion to the Wyandot County line. Starting pay is $15/hr for fire certified/EMT, $16/hr for fire certified Advanced EMT, and $17/hr for fire certified Paramedics. Elm Valley Joint Fire District
Fire District personnel respond to Structure Fires, grass Fires, Wildfires, auto accidents and also provide ALS first responder services to our residents working closely along side Delaware County EMS and Morrow County EMS on Emergency Medical calls. Our fire protection district serves 7,059 residents and covers 69 square miles in Northeast Delaware County and Southwest Morrow County. After being accepted by the Fire Department you will need Firefighter and Emergency Medical training. You will be scheduled at state certified training facilities for training that accommodates your schedule. You must complete the training and receive State of Ohio Fire/EMS Training Certificates. The Fire District covers all costs associated with your Firefighter training and EMT basic training. Firefighters typically do the following: Drive fire trucks and other emergency vehicles Put out fires using water hoses, fire extinguishers, and water pumps Find and rescue victims in burning buildings or in other emergency situations Treat sick or injured people Prepare written reports on emergency incidents Clean and maintain equipment Conduct drills and physical fitness training Provide public education on fire safety | Requirements: In order to apply, you must be: 1. At least 18 years of age. 2. Hold a valid Ohio Drivers' License free from excessive violations. 3. Be in good physical condition and of good moral character. 4.
