The department is rich in history but progressive in our response and tactics. We have the latest in training and equipment to serve our community. This paid-per-call position responds to alarms or requests for service, acts in emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, extinguishing fires, and performs service work as directed. We do offer part-time staffing and our volunteer members are eligible to work shifts after completion of training. Morral Salt Rock Township Fire Department is looking for certified firefighters and EMTs for part-time shifts from 8:00am - 4:00pm 7 days a week. We are a combination department located in a mainly rural area, and we also cover part of State Route 23 north of Marion to the Wyandot County line. Starting pay is $15/hr for fire certified/EMT, $16/hr for fire certified Advanced EMT, and $17/hr for fire certified Paramedics. Fire District personnel respond to Structure Fires, grass Fires, Wildfires, auto accidents and also provide ALS first responder services to our residents working closely along side Delaware County EMS and Morrow County EMS on Emergency Medical calls. Our fire protection district serves 7,059 residents and covers 69 square miles in Northeast Delaware County and Southwest Morrow County. After being accepted by the Fire Department you will need Firefighter and Emergency Medical training. You will be scheduled at state certified training facilities for training that accommodates your schedule. You must complete the training and receive State of Ohio Fire/EMS Training Certificates. The Fire District covers all costs associated with your Firefighter training and EMT basic training. Firefighters typically do the following: Drive fire trucks and other emergency vehicles Put out fires using water hoses, fire extinguishers, and water pumps Find and rescue victims in burning buildings or in other emergency situations Treat sick or injured people Prepare written reports on emergency incidents Clean and maintain equipment Conduct drills and physical fitness training Provide public education on fire safety | Requirements: In order to apply, you must be: 1. We need outgoing and fun personalities to interact with attendees at our show, welcoming them and encouraging the purchase of raffle tickets to support our initiatives. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes early for instructions.

Assist judges during the gourd competition by organizing entries and providing logistical support. This is a great way to learn about the judging process and meet other gourd enthusiasts.

Help with various tasks during our event, including selling souvenirs, registering attendees for classes, and assisting vendors. All volunteers can enter a raffle for gift cards.

Join us for a fun-filled day of assisting with various activities at the gourd show, including helping with the 'Make it and Take it' section. All volunteers can enter a raffle for gift cards.

Guide visitors through the Historic Jail and Sheriff’s Residence during First Fridays, sharing stories and history. Training is provided.

Manage volunteers, provide assignments, and gather volunteer hours for reports and grants. Participate in planning sessions with board and event team members.

Join the events committee to plan and execute community and fundraising events, including outreach to sponsors and vendors.

Participate in clean-up efforts by picking up trash around the Arts Park premises, utilizing provided bags.

Share interesting posts on various social media platforms on behalf of the Arts Park, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, and others.

Help with the setup and execution of an event featuring eight performing groups, artisan booths, and food trucks. Sign up by July 24, 2025.
