All fire department members must also become certified as a Massachusetts First Responder and have received training in CPR within 12 months of hire. All minimum required training for this position is provided in-house. Members meet each Tuesday, and train on average 3 nights per month. All applicants must meet with the Fire Chief for an interview before filling out the application. New members are sworn in as Probationary Members, giving them roughly a year to settle in.
