Help distribute food every Monday afternoon to community members in need at our East location.

Assist Kids on the Go with outdoor gardening. Volunteers will clean out and plant garden beds, weed, and lay down mulch to beautify the area.

Get involved in special projects such as building raised beds, constructing vertical gardens, or creating composting systems. These hands-on projects allow you to showcase your skills and contribute to the development of our gardens.

Assist in educational programs by facilitating workshops, leading tours, or providing guidance to community members interested in starting their own gardens. Share your knowledge and passion for gardening.

Participate in community events, farmers’ markets, and outreach campaigns to engage with the public and encourage community involvement. Assist in spreading awareness about Urban Seed and its mission.

Assist guests with canvas painting and wood burning activities on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Help prepare the community garden for planting vegetables. Days and times are to be determined based on volunteer availability.

Assist with interviewing guests, checking them in, helping them with food items, weighing and packing food, and stocking shelves as needed.

Prepare the café for service by packaging baked goods, making drinks, and setting up tables. Serve as a barista, handing out drinks and baked goods to guests, and assist with cleanup afterwards.

Partner with the My Mental Health Matters Campaign to help increase reach and provide space for events and trainings. Volunteers will assist in organizing and facilitating mental health awareness programs.

Join as a volunteer board member to make a difference in the community. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, event planning, counseling, and organizing community service programs.

Assist in organizing and participating in community events in Detroit's 9th Precinct. Volunteers will help set up, engage with community members, and support event activities.

Support the Summer Fun Academy by helping with educational activities and mentoring children. Volunteers will work with students to improve literacy and provide a fun learning environment.

Join the governing arm of the St. Clair Shores Community Chorus as a volunteer on the Board of Directors. Help manage the operations of the chorus and support its mission to bring music to the community.

Assist with greeting guests, signing them in, passing out flyers and food, and taking pictures at events. Volunteers may also help with setting up for events and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Engage in community support efforts by chaperoning and monitoring children, writing articles for the newsletter, and serving on committees or the FOP board. Volunteers can also assist with answering phones and making calls.

Help with breakfast or lunch programs, pick up trash, and do yard work for seniors in the community. Volunteers provide essential support to improve the quality of life for senior residents.
