We are a combination department located in a mainly rural area, and we also cover part of State Route 23 north of Marion to the Wyandot County line. The department is rich in history but progressive in our response and tactics. We have the latest in training and equipment to serve our community. This paid-per-call position responds to alarms or requests for service, acts in emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, extinguishing fires, and performs service work as directed. We do offer part-time staffing and our volunteer members are eligible to work shifts after completion of training.
