Volunteers of ages 10 to adult are needed to assist with various tasks such as working at the One Room Schoolhouse, Greentown Museum, during special events, or even while at home. Tasks include creating crafts, working with the curator, office duties, and more.

Civic, school, or church groups are needed on a one-time or long-term basis to assist with various projects that meet the society’s needs. Groups can participate in landscaping, interior housekeeping, and special events.

The Firefighter/EMT position protects life and property through controlling, extinguishing and preventing fires; provides emergency medical services; regularly maintains firefighting equipment, apparatus and quarters; responds to man-made and natural disasters. In emergency situations, performs hazardous tasks requiring strenuous physical exertion for extended periods of time in cramped surroundings, hot, smoky environments with limited visibility, and at considerable heights. Volunteers will assist in creating memorial gardens by donating plants, digging, planting, spreading dirt and mulch, and providing food and drinks for fellow volunteers. Volunteers may also help by taking pictures of the projects.

Husbandry Volunteers are required to contribute at least 12 volunteer hours per month, divided between 2 or more shifts. They assist with the care and maintenance of the sanctuary's resident birds of prey.

As a pharmacist volunteer, you will dispense medications, communicate with other pharmacies for client prescriptions, and provide counseling and education to clients. Your expertise will greatly benefit those in need.

Student volunteers at the NEOMED Free Clinic engage in hands-on learning while assisting healthcare professionals. They can take on roles such as primary care clerks, behavioral health clerks, and pharmacy clerks, with opportunities for leadership as they gain experience.
