Hastings Fire department has 2 full time staff and Firefighter EMT and the Fire chief. We have 11 paid on call members. The department responds to approximately 1000 calls annually. we cover 148 Sq. miles in 5 townships and the city of Hastings population of 17,000. | Requirements: We are accepting applications from interested members of the community, who live within our fire district, No experience required! Must be 18 years old, unless applying as a cadet. FFI/II with EMT or MFR license preferred, however we will train the appropriate applicant. Must have a valid Drivers Lic, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Applicants with no licenses must be willing to take the FFI/II class within 24 months of joining the department, all fees paid by the department. Serve as a board member to support the Lakewood Area Choral Society in its mission to promote choral music. Responsibilities include attending meetings, participating in decision-making, and supporting the society's activities.

Assist with various maintenance tasks in the donation storage building, such as sweeping floors, dusting shelves, sorting, organizing, and packing donations. Volunteers are needed for 3-5 hours a week, primarily on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with flexibility required based on donation schedules.

Volunteers with bookkeeping experience are needed to assist with paperwork and financial record-keeping tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization's operations and ensuring accurate documentation.

Looking for community members who are either currently trained and licensed EMTs or willing to become licensed. We are a community-based ambulance service with strong ties in the areas we serve. With an increase in call volume, our standard on-duty staff is being stretched thin, and it is time to augment our staffing model with community-based responders who can assist with high call volume and other special events.
