The Walnut Township Fire Department's are seeking enthusiastic and hard working individuals that are interested in serving their community. The fire department is in Walnut Township located in Fairfield County, Ohio. We Take 1500+ Calls annually out of 3 fire stations. We are a combination Part-Time and Volunteer Organizations. Our "Volunteer" members take calls from anywhere within Walnut Township. They receive paid training, top of the line equipment and facilities and an hourly wage for every emergency call. Provide daily care at Petco locations in Mt Vernon and Heath, including scooping litter boxes, providing fresh food and water, and giving love to the cats. Volunteers are expected to commit to once weekly for about an hour.

Assist with transporting cats to and from surgeries, Petco, and Petsmart locations. Volunteers should be comfortable driving and handling cats.

Assist with marketing, fundraising, and organizing events for Whiskers Animal Rescue. This role can be performed from home and requires creativity and organizational skills.

Help facilitate the adoption process by matching cats with their forever homes. Volunteers will assist with applications and coordinate meet-and-greets.

Help with organizing and maintaining the Catnip Cottage. This role is ideal for individuals with a knack for organization and cleanliness.

Assist with daily care at the Catnip Cottage, including scooping, providing food and water, light cleaning, and giving love to the cats. Volunteers are expected to commit to once weekly for about two hours.

Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance and repairs at the maternity home. Requires completion of volunteer paperwork and a background check.

Serve as a role model, teacher, advisor, counselor, and advocate to young women in the home. Assist with skills such as budgeting, parenting, time management, cooking, and baking. Requires a sincere desire to be a positive example.

Drive a resident to weekly classes at C-tec or Heartbeats and babysit for 2-3 hours while the resident attends classes. Requires a valid driver's license, insurance, and a background check.

Support the financial operations of the organization by assisting with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks.

Plan and organize fundraising events to raise awareness and funds for the organization's programs. Responsibilities include event logistics, promotion, and coordination.

Capture video footage of events and programs to create promotional and informational content for the organization.

Engage in activities to secure sponsorships for the organization's programs, including outreach and communication with potential sponsors.

Assist in organizing and picking up donations from various locations to support the organization's initiatives.

Assist with administrative tasks to support the organization's operations and programs. Volunteers will help with data entry, filing, and other office-related tasks.

Take photographs at events and programs to document the organization's work and create visual content for promotional materials.

Provide a temporary home for small breed dogs in need of rescue. Responsibilities include caring for the dog's daily needs and helping them adjust to a home environment until a permanent home is found.
