Conduct a collection of new hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for men, women, and children of all ages! These items will be distributed to individuals in need across our programs.

New school supplies can be very expensive, especially for low-income families with multiple children. Fill a backpack with age-appropriate items for children in need. Volunteers will help collect, sort, and distribute these backpacks.

With over 160 housing sites across Long Island, there are plenty of opportunities to brighten up the exterior of an Options residence. Volunteers will help with general clean-up tasks such as raking leaves, picking up litter, and planting flowers.

Give families in need a holiday season to remember. During the holidays, we receive wish lists from families in our programs and pair them with community volunteers. This is a heartwarming, flexible program, and the budget you spend is totally up to you.

We are having a Membership Drive for both Boys and Girls ages 14 and have completed the 8th Grade. Our program teaches members the basics in Firefighting Skills and Procedures. We hold yearly fundraisers. We are Community involved and teach members leadership skills that will hopefully help them later in life. Help spread the word about Harmony Café by creating relationships with community groups and organizations. Volunteers will set up meetings and introduce Harmony Café’s mission and vision to potential partners.

Assist the Director with various administrative tasks such as newsletters, volunteer applications, phone calls, data entry, and email correspondence. No experience is required, and volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Plan and help run meal events during holidays, including setup and breakdown, serving meals, and cleaning up. Volunteers are essential in creating a welcoming environment for all attendees.

Assist with the Patchogue Community Garden by watering, weeding, planting, and harvesting. Volunteers are expected to give one to two hours per week, gaining valuable gardening experience and participating in seasonal classes.

Assist the dietitian in the wellness program by helping with food demonstrations, handing out surveys, and checking in students. This role is ideal for those passionate about learning and helping others, with opportunities to earn community service hours or school credit.

Join us each week to sort inventory, fulfill partner requests, and prepare for clothing events. Volunteers help ensure that clothing donations are organized and ready for distribution to those in need.

Participate in organizing and running fundraising events to support the rescue's mission. Volunteers will help with event planning, setup, and execution.

Conduct interviews with potential adopters to ensure a good match between the dog and the family. Volunteers should be comfortable speaking with people and assessing their suitability for adoption.

Provide temporary care for retrievers and retriever mixes in your home until they are adopted. Volunteers must ensure the well-being and safety of the dogs in their care.

Assist in transporting dogs to and from foster homes, veterinary appointments, and adoption events. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
