The Sherborn Fire & Rescue Department provides fire & emergency services to the Town of Sherborn and a population of approximately 4,600. The department consists of a combination of on call firefighters and part time EMS personnel, who responded to 650 calls in 2020. The department has (2) fire stations and has on duty EMS personnel 24/7/365. The Department not only responds to fire, EMS and rescue emergencies, but also provides a full range of non-emergency services including fire prevention, public education and training. | Requirements: ▪ Must be 18 years or older ▪ Must possess current, valid Massachusetts State Driver's License ▪ Must have current Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician Certification ▪ Must have 1 year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician ▪ Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment medical screening ▪ Firefighter I/II Certification preferred Successful completion of a pre-employment background check which may include, but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle history review, medicalexamination and drug screen test. Successful candidates will be hired for a probationary period of 12 months.
