The Southard Fire Department No.1 (Station 19-3) was established in 1933. The Primary mission of the SFD is to provide a range of services designed to protect the residents of Howell Twp District No.3 and the surrounding communities. We have a rich history and tradition in the fire service and we are looking for men and women within the community to become volunteer firefighters. No experience necessary, all training and required equipment will be provided to you at no cost. This is a volunteer opportunity and carries no weekly paycheck however we have many fringe benefits such as free training from some of the best instructors and firefighters in the nation. You also can receive college credit for many courses taken at both the online and on premise fire academy classes. In addition to these benefits you may also qualify for a pension or savings plan that builds based on your commitment to the fire service. All we ask for is your time and dedication. Parents want to keep your kids off drugs and off the streets we will give them a high that cannot be matched anywhere. ADRENALINE. | Requirements: Applicants must be sixteen (16) years of age or older and of sound mind and a citizen of the United States.
