The POC firefighter may respond from home or work to one of our six fire stations where they will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service which include everything from structure fires, to public education events and school visits. POC Firefighters who are also EMT trained are also eligible for scheduled part-time hours. *Part-time EMT or EMT/Firefighter - The WLFD staffs six transport ambulances 24/7/365 from six stations. Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel respond to all types of calls in the district. Personnel who are also trained firefighters may also respond to fire and rescue calls while on part time shifts. Part time shift are typically anywhere from 12 to 24 hours long in any one of our six stations. *Internship -The WLFD is proud to present our live-in internship program.
