Join the Western Reserve Community Band as a musician. Members participate in rehearsals and perform in concerts throughout the year. No auditions required, but there may be a waiting list for some sections.

Education Program Volunteers develop and deliver educational programs in Hudson parks, including activities for children and adults such as the Preschool Parents Children’s Fair and Wildflower and History Hikes.

Conservation Volunteers advocate for conservation, restoration, and preservation of park land and other Hudson natural resources. They work to restore ecological biodiversity, promote environmental stewardship, and participate in the removal of invasive plants.

Park Ambassadors are assigned to neighborhood parks where they periodically visit to answer visitor questions, promote Friends of Hudson Parks programs, and report maintenance issues to Hudson Parks staff.

Special Events Volunteers assist with events like Race for the Parks and Pack the Pond, as well as special projects such as invasive plant removal and maintaining monarch gardens.

Volunteers can join one of the board committees such as Governance, Fund Development, or Finance to help drive the mission of Limitless Ambition and provide strategic oversight.

Volunteers serve as Program Facilitators, help with curriculum development, and establish community partnerships for the Purposely Chosen program for teen girls.

Volunteers coordinate and develop strategic goals for the Dream Kit initiative, helping young women in the Foster Care System overcome barriers.

Volunteers assist with Social Media Management, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, and Website Maintenance to support Limitless Ambition's outreach efforts.

Volunteers assist with event planning, marketing, and sponsorships for women's empowerment events, including the Ladies of Legacy Fundraising Gala.

Assist in maintaining community gardens located at Walls Elementary School, Franklin Ave near the Haymaker Farmers Market, Davey Elementary School, and Kent Social Services. Volunteers will help plant and care for vegetables and flowers in raised beds during the spring and fall.

Volunteers in the Crisis Helpline provide crisis and suicide intervention, emotional support, and resources to those in need. They undergo a 60-hour training course and are expected to commit to at least 100 hours of service over the following year.

Crime Victim Advocates provide hands-on emotional support and assistance to victims of violent crime. Volunteers must complete a 40-hour training program and fulfill a minimum commitment of 200 hours over the following year, with flexible scheduling.

Assist with organizing fundraising events, creating gift baskets, and contacting local businesses for gifts and sponsorships. Volunteers also promote events via social media or flyer placements.

Assist at various events by working at the booth, answering questions, selling merchandise, and helping with setup and take-down. Volunteers play a crucial role in engaging with the public and promoting the organization's mission.

Provide transportation for vet appointments, meet and greets, and moving dogs from shelters to foster homes. Volunteers help ensure dogs reach their forever homes safely.

Foster homes are essential to the rescue's operations, providing temporary care for greyhounds transitioning from the track into the adoption program. Volunteers are expected to provide a safe and nurturing environment, comply with organizational guidelines, and participate in events with their foster dogs.

Work with elementary school teachers to educate students on healthy eating, the origins of food, and how to start their own gardens. Volunteers will participate in the Garden Club, providing educational programming and hands-on learning experiences.

Assist in organizing and distributing allergy-friendly food to community members in need. Volunteers will help ensure the pantry is stocked and assist clients in selecting appropriate food items.

Join us in our mission to provide free urgent care to the uninsured. We welcome healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, as well as non-medical volunteers to assist in clerical roles and provide meals for our volunteer teams.
