River Monitors perform chemical water quality tests, survey for sediment pollution, and participate in macroinvertebrate surveys at test sites in the watershed. This group requires dedication and training, and monitors receive training and attend periodic reviews and quality assurance sessions.

River Hands volunteers work on special projects like stream bank restoration, riparian buffers, removal of introduced plants, and planting of locally evolved plant species. No special training is required, and volunteers are notified of special project opportunities through email and the monthly newsletter.

River Stewards volunteers observe local waterways regularly and report concerns and problems. A guidebook is provided, and volunteers are notified of training opportunities throughout the year, including how to conduct biological surveys and stream mapping.

Home Waters Activists receive educational alerts about current issues in their watershed and take action by educating their neighbors, writing letters, attending meetings, and talking to public officials about threats to their local watershed. No special training is necessary.

The Trevose Fire Co is recruiting new members to join our Stipend Duty Crew Program. The program is to provide four (4) qualified firefighters 24 hours a day for the next four (4) years starting in late November 2017.
