MFD is looking for community oriented persons that want to help our community.. MFD also provides quick response (QRS) medical coverage to our community. MFD is also a all-hazards department for Mapleton Borough and surrounding Brady, Cass & Union townships. MFD in addition to fire suppression, also provides, rescue (vehicle, rope & water), wildfirefighting, and hazardous materials operations response. MFD also has an active community education presence. We are also proud to say that our Junior Fire program is still going strong with 5 current juniors and was started in 1974. | Requirements: Persons over 18 years of age, living in the service area are able to apply. Help maintain clean and sanitary conditions in cat shelters by cleaning cages, changing litter boxes, and ensuring the environment is safe for cats.

Assist in transporting cats to and from veterinary appointments, adoption events, and foster homes. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
