We work to stabilize and mitigate these incidents, preserving life & property and providing care and assistance to the public as required. Members do not work a specific shift but must respond to calls as alerted in a timely manner. This includes calls during all times of day, including nights, weekends & holidays. Members also participate in non emergency activities such as cleaning & maintenance of equipment, Public Education & Fire Prevention, and Departmental Fundraising. Volunteers assist with chores in the barn and on the property such as cleaning tack, mucking paddocks, sweeping, and laundry. They also groom and walk mini horses and donkeys, care for small animals, assist with events, and support riders/clients during lessons or sessions.
