Volunteers are responsible for feeding and grooming horses, hauling hay, and maintaining pastures, fences, and equipment. They also assist in grant writing, public relations, and fundraising activities.

Assist with various backstage roles during performances and events. Responsibilities may include helping with set changes, costume management, and supporting performers and staff.

Support the production team in preparing for and executing performances. Duties may involve technical setup, lighting, and sound management.

Provide administrative support to the Traverse City Dance Project team. Tasks may include data entry, organizing files, and assisting with event planning.

Drivers are essential for delivering prepared meals to clients within a 20-mile radius of downtown Traverse City. Volunteers work with coordinators to find convenient delivery routes.

Certified Michigan Food Managers can volunteer to supervise kitchen operations. The Beauty of Life may sponsor ServeSafe certification for those interested.

Join Step Up Northern Michigan as a Volunteer Team Member to support at-risk youth. Volunteers can choose to help locally, abroad, or online, contributing to various programs that provide food, clothing, and educational support.

Join us every Sunday at 2pm to cook one of ten delicious and pregnancy-friendly recipes. Volunteers may be asked to pick up fresh ingredients, with receipts reimbursed.

Personnel assigned the position of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) are licensed by the State of Michigan to provide patient care. EMRs are responsible for rendering care to ill or injured patients in a variety of circumstances. EMRs assist at fires and other hazardous incidents by providing patient care, responder medical assessment, and rehabilitation. EMRs are expected to provide care to patients in vehicles and other close quarters. EMRs are further expected to assist with home safety inspections and support the health and welfare of the community. Within the station, EMRs assist with maintaining equipment, apparatus, and department facilities. EMR personnel must operate within a chain of command and exercise good judgment in the performance of their duties both in the station and on the scene of an incident.
