We are seeking a volunteer for the Foster Coordinator role, responsible for recruiting, screening applicants, training, and supporting fosters. Detailed role description available upon request.

We have plenty of volunteer opportunities that don’t involve fostering! Help transport cats, staff events, assist with data entry, photography, grant writing, and more. Please note we do NOT have a physical shelter.

Kitty Revolution is entirely foster-based, so our ability to take in cats depends on having Foster Caregivers. If you have a spare room where a cat or kittens can stay, we would love to chat!

Conduct telephone reference checks and personal interviews for potential adopters or volunteers. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Assist in transporting Pekingese dogs to foster homes, veterinary appointments, or adoption events. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable handling dogs during transport.

Provide a temporary home for rescued Pekingese dogs, offering care and attention until they are adopted. Responsibilities include addressing behavioral issues, administering medication, and participating in the selection of the dog's permanent home.

Help maintain areas planted with native grasses and wildflowers in highly visible areas. Opportunities include the new Holland Lake Pollinator Garden, the Visitor Center Backyard and Boathouse, and Holland Lake Bay.

Enjoy the outdoors while assisting park visitors with questions, directions, and providing an extra support measure in case of emergencies. Teams include Ski, Mountain Bike, Greenway & Park Trail, Dog Park, or Equestrian.

As an Adopt-a-Park volunteer, you will be notified first by email when new projects come up that focus on your selected park. Opportunities include picking up trash, maintaining trails, improving park features, and reducing invasive species.

As a volunteer for DARTS group respite, The Breathing Space, you will provide friendship and social engagement for individuals with early- to mid-stage memory loss. Partner with a participant to enjoy activities that stimulate the brain and promote community! This program is ongoing throughout the year.

Make a difference this spring in the life of an older neighbor by helping clean the yard of an older homeowner after the winter. You can partner with your organization, family, friends, or any group to help local seniors take pride in their yards! This program runs approximately mid-April to mid-May.

Home Visit Volunteers assess potential adoptive homes by visiting applicants, observing their environment, and determining suitability for a Great Dane. They ensure the home meets the specific needs of the breed.

Foster Mentors educate assigned foster homes on the foster process and rules, connect fosters with resources, and maintain communication with foster homes. They report incidents to the Director of Foster Homes and require excellent communication and organizational skills.

Photography Volunteers take high-quality photos of foster Danes for adoption profiles, helping to introduce the dogs to potential adopters. Their work is crucial in showcasing the dogs' personalities and aiding in their adoption.

Transport Volunteers pick up Great Danes and transport them to foster homes across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas. They work with the Transport Coordinator to ensure safe and efficient transport of the dogs.

Event Volunteers assist in setting up and tearing down events, engage with the public about the rescue's work, and may bring their Dane as an ambassador. They help ensure events run smoothly and support fundraising efforts.

Bring your expertise to making decisions on opportunities offered through in-person classes, webinars, and our bi-yearly conferences. Help shape the educational offerings of the society.

Assist in planning and coordination of fundraising efforts throughout the year. This role involves organizing events and campaigns to support the society's mission.

Duties include opening and closing the center, answering the phone, and helping patrons find their way around the center. New volunteers work with experienced volunteers. No experience is necessary, training will be provided.

Sustain and develop our programs through your expertise in development and grant writing. Volunteers will work closely with our team to secure funding and resources for our initiatives.
