Hillndale Volunteer Fire Department
Did you know that we accept junior members? No? Well, let me fill you in. Anyone that is at least fourteen years of age and, of course with permission from your parents, can join Hillndale Volunteer Fire Department as a junior member. Keep in mind that your education comes first, so we will periodically contact your parents and see how you are doing in school. Keeping good grades is a requirement to be a junior member. Between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, we will work to educate you and prepare you to become a full member of the volunteer fire service. Yes, you are allowed to go on emergency calls, but restrictions do apply. Once you reach seventeen years of age and are close to the end of your senior year of high school, you can participate in both a volunteer firefighter and EMT training course.
