Successfully Pass Drug and Alcohol Testing by an approved source. Successfully pass a Criminal History and Background check. Pass a department board interview and evaluation. Maintain attendance to department activities within department policy. Successfully complete a 365 Day probationary period after date of hire. A valid Driver's License upon date of hire. As a firefighter Complete a state-chartered fire training program and obtain certification within 1 year of appointment per Ohio Revised Code. The Westwood Fire Department is accepting applications for Probationary Firefighters and Junior Firefighters. Volunteers attend funerals of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses to provide an honor service. They participate in a brief ceremony, taking turns speaking different parts and offering blessings to the loved ones of the deceased.

Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1972, it is a family oriented fire department. We have several plants in our area, as well as many acres of forestry, a small village and an active township. We are always open to new members, meetings are every Monday at 6pm. Come down and meet everyone, pick up an application and stay to train with us. No certification necessary to join, as a member the fire department will send you to class. We run BLS response with our local EMS agency and are always looking for additional medically trained personnel at all levels from EMR to Paramedic. We are also looking for members interested in firefighting operations. We are currently looking for High School Students who are age 16 or older who are willing to join our ranks and learn what it takes to be a firefighter. We provide weekly training opportunities and many different opportunities for outside certifications. While you must be 18 or older to be a certified firefighter in the State of Ohio, we will send Junior members to a certification course as they approach that age in order to streamline the certification process. | Requirements: Must be age 16 or older and currently enrolled and regularly attending a High School education program. Help with indoor and outdoor photoshoots for animals. Volunteers can assist by holding, distracting, or showcasing their photography skills to capture the best images of the animals.

Volunteers are needed to walk dogs at the vet’s office from Tuesday to Friday. Volunteers will be provided with a slip-lead, collar, leash, and treats. Dogs are available for walks between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Assist with setting up, carrying, transporting animals, and helping during adoption events in the Huntington area. Volunteers are crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of these events.

Assist in organizing and facilitating the SandFest event, which includes a sand sculpture competition and various family-friendly activities. Volunteers will help set up the event, manage activity stations, and ensure a smooth experience for all participants.
