POSITION SUMMARY The Firefighter’s role is to protect life and property through firefighting and EMS activities often performed under conditions which require strenuous physical exertion. Major elements of a Firefighter's work are the participation in company inspection activities performed by fire companies, supervised drills, and training in firefighting and EMS skills. Our members include engineers, mechanics, painters, plumbers, police officers, and students.
