Provide essential transportation for Pugs, including getting them to foster homes, veterinary appointments, and events. A valid driver’s license and car insurance are required.

Assist in planning, setting up, and organizing events to raise funds and educate the public about adopting Pugs. This includes hanging fliers and assisting with donations for raffle baskets.

Help by checking local shelters and online platforms for Pugs that need assistance from Bluegrass Pug Rescue. This is a rewarding role that ensures Pugs are taken to safe places for care.

Assist in maintaining the Paintbox Garden, a vibrant oasis of color inspired by Color Theory. Volunteers will help with planting, succession planting, and ensuring blooms from Spring to Autumn, while also supporting pollinator-friendly practices.

Spend a purposeful day at the waterfront with your peers. This opportunity is ideal for companies or schools interested in a group volunteer experience to support the park.

Help keep the waterfront free of litter and assist with planting, weeding, and caring for the park’s green spaces. Volunteers are essential in maintaining the park's beauty and sustainability.

We welcome volunteers to assist with maintaining our Child Development Center grounds and classrooms. Tasks may include spreading sand, dirt, or mulch; cleaning classroom chairs and tables; and general playground upkeep. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor.

Volunteers are needed for childcare during monthly support groups and training sessions on weekdays from 6-8pm. Must be at least 18 years old or older to participate.

Volunteers are needed for St. Joe’s Picnic For the Kids, which is the largest fundraiser hosted by the home. Opportunities include being a Zone Leader, working in raffle or gaming booths, and serving beer. Volunteers typically work for four-hour shifts and can help with set-up and clean-up before and after the event.

As a Greeter, you will assist guests with wayfinding and answer questions both on the wharf and in the ticket office. This role requires enthusiasm for helping locals and tourists enjoy their river cruise experience.

Assemble flower and balloon bouquets ordered by guests to be delivered on cruises. This role requires creativity and attention to detail.

As a Docent, you will provide detailed information about the boats, the Ohio River, and the city of Louisville. This position requires additional training and is suited for those with a passion for history.

Assist guests with questions, provide onboard information and other assistance, and assist with special events as needed. Volunteers should be interested in learning and talking about riverboats, the Ohio River, and the city of Louisville.
