We are currently a completely volunteer fire company providing a wide range of emergency and non emergency services, as well as fundraising and community programs which we have a notable amount of social members as well to help with. | Requirements: All Personnel must have or obtain at minimum the following; FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 and IS-800 Hazmat Awareness (HMA) Assistance in obtaining them will be provided if needed (FEMA courses can be done online). For Adult membership; Must past background and child welfare checks Depending on role interested in, may need to be in healthy condition to fulfill position For Junior Memberships: Age 14 and older Parental/Guardianship Approval Maintaining good school grades and behavior Beyond above, all personnel are required to complete certification in training before being able to perform equivalent duties at a scene (ie; essentials to be able to do firefighting, a vehicle rescue course for involvement in vehicle rescues, etc). East Taylor Vol Fire Co
East Taylor Vol Fire Company opperates out of 1 station and consists of 1 Rescue Engine, 1 Engine, 1 Brush truck, 1 Squad (utility vehicle), 1 Ambulance and 2 Boats. The ambulance is part of the Conemaugh Valley Ambulance Association which responds medic unit with the ambulance. The station also opperates as part of the Cambria County Water Rescue Team and Dive Team. This Team responds throughout the commonwealth for related incidents. Members also are trained in High Angle Rope Rescue, which members train annually to freshen up on skills. The Township consists of 9 sq miles and approx. 2500 residence that we provide Fire/Rescue and EMS services and also mutual aid to surrounding communities. | Requirements: Members wishing to participate in Fire Suppression and/or Rescue (including EMS) are recommended to attain training within a year of joining. CTVFD is a 100% volunteer fire department located in the community of Tire Hill, PA (just south of Johnstown, PA) Our station is currently equipped with an Attack Engine w/ 1000 gallon water tank and quick dump capabilities, a 75' Quint Engine/Ladder, a Light Rescue equipped w/TNT tools and a 5 man Squad equipped w/ water rescue gear.
