Bostian Heights Fire Department was established in 1959 and went to combination staffing module in the early 2000's. The department currently runs an average of 2,000 emergency incident in a year in the categories of fire, medical and rescue. Volunteer staffing is always welcomed into our fire house family. Currently, the fire department has 3 shifts that alternate throughout the week, working at total of 120 shifts at 24 hours at a time. The department is very aggressive in education and hands on training. Volunteering takes time away from friends and family and is a very large commitment.
