Kearney Volunteer Fire Department is proud to be Nebraska Largest Volunteer Fire Department. We are 100% Volunteer and supported by a few full time staff. Every hazard in our community that the fire department is dispatched to is mitigated with the use of volunteer firefighters. We have what is regarded as one of the top training facilities in the state. KVFD provides all Training, PPE, and a reimbursement program to it's members on top of benefits provided by the Nebraska Volunteer Firefighters Association.
