The New Bloomfield Fire Protection District is looking for persons interested in serving their community. we provide all the required training, we ask that you have a willingness to work as part of a team to serve the citizens within the New Bloomfield area. Firefighters respond to fire and rescue emergency incidents independently or under direction of department officers. Firefighters with First Responder (EMR) training also respond to medical emergencies. Department personnel are responsible for meeting training attendance requirements and all personnel assist in maintaining stations, apparatus, and equipment in a ready state. | Requirements: Applicants must pass a background check and interview process to join the department. After joining members must complete basic training requirements prior to responding to incidents, and a 6-month probationary period to be cleared for full duty. Waivers for the basic training program may be granted to personnel with previous certifications. Department members must maintain an average training requirement of 6 hours per month.
