We operate two engines, one ALS medic unit, one brush unit, two utility support vehicles, one canteen, and one rehab unit. Our station includes a gym, study area, live in bunk rooms, semi-private bunk rooms, multiple shower facilities, and more! As a Community Cafe Greeter, you will welcome guests into the building, sign them into the program, and create a warm and inviting environment. This role is essential in making guests feel comfortable and valued.

In the role of Shower Host, you will guide guests to the showers, provide them with necessary supplies, monitor their usage, and ensure the showers are sanitized after each use. This position is crucial for maintaining a safe and clean environment for guests.

As a Front Desk Greeter, you will welcome guests, sign them into the program, and help create a warm environment. This role is vital for ensuring guests feel welcomed and supported during their visit.

As a Social Media Volunteer, you will create, publish, and manage content across various digital platforms to promote The EPICENTER’s vision. Proficiency in Canva and social media platforms is required, along with a minimum commitment of 3 months.

As a Food Pantry Host, you will greet guests seeking food resources, guide them to the pantry, help them select items, and assist in carrying items to their car if needed. You will also be responsible for restocking the pantry as necessary.

Guest speakers are needed to share their experiences and provide motivational talks to young men, helping them see the possibilities for success in life. Speakers should be able to relate to youth and inspire them to pursue positive paths.

Volunteers will mentor young men, ages 12-19, to help them set and achieve goals, providing positive role models and guidance. Volunteers are expected to engage in discussions and activities that promote leadership and personal development.

Provide reliable transportation for older adults to medical appointments, grocery stores, and community programs. Help seniors maintain their independence and stay connected with their community.

Assist older adults with computers, smartphones, and virtual meetings to help them stay connected with loved ones and resources. Enhance their digital literacy and confidence.

Engage in friendly visits and activities with older adults to promote wellness and companionship. Help reduce social isolation and build meaningful connections.

Occasional volunteer activities include gardening, office work, organizing donated items, cleaning donated tack, and working event sales tables. Volunteers can also assist with decorating, cooking, and photography.

Volunteers are needed to call and verify personal and vet references for prospective adopters. This role involves making detailed phone calls and reporting back to the group.
