The Apshawa Volunteer Fire Company of West Milford, NJ is always looking for eager and interested prospective Firefighters. All training and firefighting equipment is provided to firefighters. Comradeship, lasting friendships and the sense of pride in yourself and your community are the payoffs. New candidates will attend a Fire Academy for required training with opportunities for additional training throughout you time with the fire department, there is always more to learn. After background and physical check you will be appointed by the town and can start riding to emergency calls and participating in FD activities even while attending academy.
