Our firefighters are a well trained, disciplined group of local residents who come together to serve the community. Unlike some “volunteer reserve firefighters”, our firefighters comprise 100% of our department and run first-out on all types of emergencies. Our firefighters actually do everything they are trained to do, and find it both fun and rewarding. As an Outdoor Education Volunteer, you will assist in leading nature-based educational programs for children and families. Volunteers will help facilitate activities, engage participants, and promote a love for the outdoors.

Animal Care Volunteers provide daily care, feeding, and attention to the farm animals. This role requires a commitment to a regular morning shift each week and involves physical tasks including some heavy lifting.

Healing Programs Volunteers help facilitate interactions between our animals and clients during scheduled programs. They support animal-client interactions and can choose shifts that match their interests and availability.

Skilled Volunteers are sought to support the organization in areas such as graphic design, social media, public relations, and web development. Volunteers can share their expertise to help advance the mission of Jasper Ridge Farm.
