Pickup food donations from Whole Foods on Merrimon Avenue in Asheville and deliver them to the sanctuary. Pickup is usually scheduled for Sunday mornings.

Participate in deep cleaning, watering, sorting produce, socializing, and various farm projects. Open to individuals or groups, with specific age requirements for working with animals.

A weekly commitment to a scheduled day for a morning or evening shift, involving tasks such as feeding, watering, cleaning, and socializing with animals. Volunteers will receive training until they are comfortable performing tasks independently.

As a Food Ministry Volunteer, you will assist in sorting and packing boxes, unloading trucks, and loading food into clients' vehicles to ensure they receive the groceries they need. This role is vital for maintaining the efficiency of our food distribution efforts.

We welcome school, church, and civic groups to volunteer with us. Groups can assist with sorting large quantities of food, performing minor construction or maintenance tasks, or helping during busy times to ensure our operations run smoothly.
