Act as a 'Good Will' ambassador to talk to local civic organizations, town boards, radio stations, newspapers, and anyone else about the mission of AFS and the unique experiences we provide.

Help with investigating new alliances for AFS such as veterans organizations, colleges and universities, local schools, camps, senior citizens groups, and Adirondack resorts.

Join a committee such as Program, Special Events, or Communications to help plan and execute various activities and initiatives at AFS.

Distribute AFS Catalogs in your neighborhood or throughout the region to help spread the word about our courses and events.

Help ready our facilities for classes and spring clean up to ensure a welcoming environment for all participants.

Act as a talent scout for new instructors and class ideas to help expand the offerings at AFS.

Beautify the school grounds through gardening and landscaping to create a pleasant environment for students and visitors.

Engage in public relations and other forms of promotion and outreach such as working a booth at a trade/craft show, chamber of commerce meeting, or similar gathering.

Volunteers help keep operational costs low and support the festival’s mission by providing a welcoming atmosphere for musicians and audience members. This role offers a rewarding experience and a chance to connect personally with LGMF musicians.

Support the organization by helping with dog rescues and improving the quality of life for veterans. Volunteers will assist in various activities to ensure the success of the program.

Assist in training rescue dogs to become service animals for veterans. Volunteers will help with dog training sessions and evaluations to ensure dogs meet the necessary standards.

Help staff the QLC booth at community events, engaging with the public to promote the conservancy's mission and activities.

Assist with QLC-sponsored nature outings, helping to organize and guide participants through educational and recreational activities.

Volunteers are needed to clear and maintain trails at various QLC properties. Responsibilities include ensuring trails are safe and accessible for all visitors.
