The Town of Landis Fire Department is a combination fire department hosting both paid staff and volunteers. With times growing harder to find volunteers and call volumes increasing, it is taxing the efforts of limited paid staff to handle all calls and duties. The Town of Lanids is seeking highly motivated individuals looking to either get started in a volunteer service to give back to their community in some capacity or those individuals that may have at one time been apart of a volunteer fire organization looking to rekindle the experience. With State and legal requirements on volunteers in the fire service growing stricter and more time consuming, one must understand that being apart of this service there is no better rewarding feeling than to give back and help the community that you live in but it does come with a cost; time away from families at a moments notice, education on weeknights and weekends. Bostian Heights Fire Department is a combination fire department that has a service district of approximately 40 square miles and approximately 9,000 citizens. Bostian Heights Fire Department was established in 1959 and went to combination staffing module in the early 2000's.
