Volunteers will help plan and construct barns, shelters, and fencing. This role involves hands-on work and supports the sanctuary's infrastructure development.

Volunteers will assist with picking up supplies from feed stores on a weekly basis with flexible days. This role supports the sanctuary's operational needs by ensuring animals have the necessary supplies.

Volunteers will spend approximately 2 hours at the sanctuary on the same day and time each week, committing to at least 6 months. Responsibilities include semi-heavy lifting, walking, and animal care. Training is provided, and volunteers will be paired with experienced members initially.

Art Mentors use their specific artistic talents to help develop the existing talents of mentees or teach them something new. Experience in creative writing, photography, dance, music, or visual arts is required.

Group Mentors guide mentees through lesson plans provided by guest speakers, offering one-on-one guidance if trauma arises. A stable presence is important for the mentees' development.

Engage in hands-on activities such as cleaning invasive limu out of Waihonu pond and painting picnic tables. This role is perfect for those who don't mind getting dirty while contributing to the maintenance of the gardens.

Assist in setting up and breaking down events, welcoming guests, and providing information. This role involves working with the County of Hawaiʻi and community groups to host events in the Gardens.
