Join our volunteer crafters who use their skills to make items for us to sell in the shop, as well as items needed for rescue such as carrier and trap covers, surgery recovery shirts, and collars. Volunteers also recycle fabric to make liners for other rescues in need.

Orrington Fire & Rescue serves a town of 3,700 people and assists five other towns with mutual aid. This department is a combination of full-time staff with paid-on-call volunteer members who provide high-quality fire suppression and transporting emergency medical services. Opportunities for full-time employment are offered to qualified applicants. Orrington Fire & Rescue operates out of a recently constructed fire station with new equipment. This department provides uniforms, a pager, electronic scheduling & mobile paging services, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work shifts once trained.
