We are looking to add new and excited members to join our volunteer fire and rescue squad. We serve the upper Marengo County area and also support our fellow departs when they call on us for support. We respond to all calls for help, weather it be for fires, auto accidents, medical calls, hazardous materials, etc. | Requirements: Men and women 18 years and above. Our department covers a very large footprint responding to calls from Demopolis city limits to Uniontown, then North into Hale Co joining to Lock 5 and Newbern Fire departments, then South joining Springhill and Faunsdale departments. Our area has some important infrastructure to provide fire service to including main US Hwy 80, main North to South routes of Hwy 69 and Hwy 25, railways, several gas lines, County water wells, plus all the important residents of area. Our department is looking for new volunteers to fill gaps in all areas of our department. We have openings for people to help responding to medical, rescue and fire calls. We even have a need for volunteer help if your not interested in responding to emergencies. We can always use mechanics, carpenters, electricians, landscaping or other skills to help with our vehicles or around our station. | Requirements: We accept junior members from age 16-18. (Junior members are limited in their ability to participate in direct fire fighting activities and can not drive department equipment) We are looking for volunteers age 19 and above to help fill in ranks in our department. We accept men and women, all races, and any experience level. Our department meets every 2nd and 4th Monday night.
