Transport injured or rehabilitated wildlife to and from the center. This role is fundamental to wildlife rescue efforts and requires a commitment to animal welfare.

Assist with on-site rescue tasks such as cleaning, feeding, and caring for turtles. Volunteers will work closely with the team to provide necessary care for rehabilitating turtles.

Engage the community through naturalist walks, nature talks, and educational media. Volunteers will help promote awareness and education about local wildlife and conservation efforts.

Help maintain the grassy walkways and areas surrounding the garden plots. Volunteers can choose to ride the Cub Cadet electric lawn mower or use one of the electric push mowers for a more active option.

Support the success of fundraising events by helping with tasks such as hanging posters, selling tickets, supporting event setup and registration, serving food and beverages, and assisting with cleanup.

Help harvest/glean organic produce for donation. Assist in picking and gathering vegetables based on ripeness and quality standards, as well as washing, sorting, weighing, and packing produce for distribution.

Assist with fieldwork and educational activities when student groups visit the farm. Volunteers help guide youth through hands-on learning experiences and community service tasks. A background check is required.

Support the farm crew with seasonal installations, basic repairs, and maintenance of farm structures, irrigation, electric fencing, tools, and equipment. Skilled volunteers with experience using various tools and materials are needed.

Help raise awareness and strengthen community connections by distributing outreach materials, tabling at events, and supporting other outreach initiatives. These flexible opportunities are ideal for volunteers eager to make a meaningful impact.

Help cut, arrange, and create beautiful flower bouquets for local nursing homes and community fundraising efforts.

Help with seedling care, transplanting, paper pot-making, and general greenhouse tasks such as organizing supplies and cleaning tools. This role is less physically demanding, requiring minimal bending and lifting.

Assist with planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting crops. Help with various tasks such as planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, watering, weeding, mulching, spreading compost, and more. Work may take place in the field, greenhouse, or high tunnels.

Assist in the care and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife. Volunteers will help with feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health of animals under care.

Assist in providing support services to immigrant women and families, helping them navigate the challenges of settling in a new country. Volunteers will engage in community outreach and support activities.

Assist with special events at the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum. Volunteers will help coordinate and manage event logistics to ensure successful and memorable experiences.

Guide tours of the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum, sharing knowledge about maritime patrol aviation history. Volunteers will engage with visitors and provide educational insights.

Help maintain and improve the Memorial Gardens at the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum. Volunteers will work with a team to ensure the gardens are well-kept and beautiful for visitors.
