Assist in maintaining the historic Essex County Rose Garden at Brookdale Park. No experience is necessary and training is provided. Volunteers meet at the Rose Garden at 8:30am on Wednesdays, with occasional Saturday sessions.

Help the BPC find and manage potential grant applications. Previous experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Help weed, mulch, and maintain Brookdale Park’s Pollinator Garden. Volunteers meet at 9 am every Tuesday, weather permitting. This project supports native plants and wildlife.

Join the team to weed and water the park, making a significant impact on its appearance and health. No experience is necessary and training is provided. Meetings are scheduled bi-weekly from 9:30-11.

Assist families in navigating child care resources and services. Provide support in understanding financial assistance programs and help with provider referrals.

Volunteers help maintain the trails, assist with community events, and support the upkeep of the park's natural environment. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of nature and meet new people.

Wayne Fire Company #1 is looking for new members ages 16+ that wish to volunteer as firefighters! We are actively recruiting and offer numerous benefits to firefighters that end up joining through township programs! Possible applicants must reside in Wayne Township NJ or an immediately bordering town to be eligible to join! Help with office work like correspondence, administration or in marketing tasks such as social media content creation, research and writing.

Volunteer as a garden docent to guide visitors through the Van Vleck House & Gardens. Docents will help educate the public about the gardens' history and plant life, enhancing visitor experience.

Financial Empowerment Intake and Screening Coordinators will greet clients that come to the site for VITA or other services. They will identify which service they have come for and ensure they have all necessary documents. Volunteers must complete the Standard of Conduct from the IRS Link and Learn program.

Volunteer tutors are needed to provide individual and group tutoring to struggling students in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. Volunteers are required to attend an orientation and will receive training and ongoing support.
