As assigned, drives fire apparatus (must be Engineer Certified), locating it at a fire; connects to fire hydrant, operates pumps to maintain desired pressures to support fire suppression activities. Must be able to use department equipment as designed to prevent, control and mitigate emergency situations. As a Medical First Responder (MFR), provides emergency medical services as required and performs light to heavy rescue functions at emergencies. Performs fire prevention activities, company level inspections as assigned and participates in public education for members and groups in the community. Employees hired after July 1, 2011 shall be required to obtain and maintain Emergency Medical Technician, or higher, licensure in the State of Michigan Conducts themselves in accordance with the department’s code of conduct and displays the attributes of a firefighter with integrity on and off duty. JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: A.
