Technology volunteers assist with troubleshooting computer or IT challenges. This role is ideal for those with expertise in technology-related fields and can be performed remotely.

Board members are sought to help guide the organization. Ideal candidates are motivated by our mission and may have nonprofit board experience or a desire to gain such experience.

Intake volunteers work with us throughout the year, returning calls to individuals seeking help. They listen to clients’ stories, provide referrals, and explain our process, all of which can be done remotely with a computer and phone.

Bell-ringers partner with the Salvation Army to raise funds for emergency assistance by ringing bells at local grocery stores during the holiday season. This is a low-commitment opportunity that welcomes all volunteers.

Committee members review applications for the seed money program, follow up with applicants, and recommend funding decisions. This role is suited for those with entrepreneurial expertise.

Assist in maintaining the trails of Valles Caldera National Preserve to ensure they are safe and accessible for visitors. Volunteers will participate in activities such as clearing debris, repairing trail surfaces, and installing signage.

Participate in ecological restoration projects to help restore the wetlands and other natural habitats within the Valles Caldera National Preserve. Volunteers will engage in activities such as planting native species, removing invasive plants, and monitoring ecosystem health.
