Contribute to our understanding of local history by engaging in historical research. Volunteers will help capture stories and document the rich history of Harpers Ferry and Bolivar.

Provide housing for musicians and staff in or near downtown Harpers Ferry. Options for short-term (2-3 nights) and longer-term (10-14 days) stays are available.

Assist with administrative tasks such as putting up fliers, assisting with fundraising, and other office-related duties.

Greet patrons, take tickets, and hand out programs at concerts. Volunteers are required to arrive 45 minutes before the concert begins.

Assist with transportation by picking up and dropping off festival participants at IAD Dulles, VA, during the festival period.

Help maintain the beauty of our towns by participating in landscaping projects. Volunteers will work on trail maintenance and beautification efforts to keep our natural areas pristine.

Counselors in Training assist camp counselors in daily activities, learn leadership skills, and help ensure a positive camp experience for all participants. This position is open to individuals aged 16-17.

Volunteer Camp Counselors are responsible for supervising and engaging with campers, facilitating activities, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Counselors must commit to the entire week of camp and are required to be at least 18 years old.

Interpreter Interns support communication between campers and staff by providing sign language interpretation. This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in a camp setting and improve their ASL skills.

The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company (PVFC) was established in 1923 after the Town of Purcellville endured a series of disastrous fires, the first in 1900 and then two more in 1914, which virtually wiped out the business district, depriving the Town of much of its earliest architectural heritage. PVFC is a non-profit organization established to provide a variety of fire and other emergency services to the Town of Purcellville and surrounding area. We currently operate as a combination organization within the Loudoun County Combine Fire and Rescue System. Both men and women, between the ages of 16 and 60+, staff our trucks, provide administrative support, and offer a variety of emergency services to the community. Purcellville (pop 9,040) is located 50 miles west of the Nation’s Capital along the Northern Ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and just a short drive from the Shenandoah River.
