With three fire engines, a heavy rescue squad, utility truck, and special unit LVFC is more than well equipped to answer the call for help. The best part of all this is that no experience is required. Through the University of Maryland, you will receive FREE training in fire suppression, emergency medicine, and much more. After 3-years of service, members become eligible for up to a $7,000 Maryland state tax deduction. Members take in over a 1000 runs each year gaining invaluable experience. Providence VFC is in the back yard Towson University and Goucher College but also minutes away from the following universities: Loyola University, Notre Dame of Maryland, Morgan State, Coppin State, and Johns Hopkins University. Our live-in program is an ideal opportunity to attend these schools rent free while providing an excellent college experience (Prior Training Required).
