We are looking for volunteers to fill the positions of Firefighters, EMR,s and EMT's. BRF serves the Town of Barnet VT, which includes the villages of: Passumpsic, East Barnet, Barnet, McIndoe Falls, and West Barnet. In addition we are members of the Twin State Mutual Aid Fire Association which provides mutual aid service to 25 departments on the Vt and NH border. BFR operates out of one station with 4 pieces of apparatus and responds to approximately 150 incidents per year with medical and motor vehicle accidents making up the majority of responses. Volunteers receive an annual stipend from the Town of Barnet for actual time spent on responses. The Town of Barnet also provides for Workers Compensation Insurance and a supplemental Accident and Sickness policy that covers all department activities. | Requirements: No previous experience required. Training will be provided by Barnet Fire & Rescue Be a resident of the Town of Barnet VT. A resident of an adjacent town may be considered on an individual basis.
