The Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Firefighters. As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will play a critical role in protecting lives and property within our community. Maintain and operate equipment: Volunteer Firefighters will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and operating firefighting equipment, vehicles, and tools in accordance with department policies and procedures. 5. Participate in training and drills: Volunteer Firefighters will be required to attend and actively participate in regular training sessions and drills to maintain and improve their skills, knowledge, and readiness. 6. Assist with community outreach: Volunteer Firefighters will have the opportunity to engage in community outreach activities, including fire prevention education programs, public awareness campaigns, and community events. 7. Uphold department standards and values: Volunteer Firefighters are expected to represent the Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department in a professional and respectful manner, adhering to departmental policies, procedures, and ethical standards. | Requirements: Requirements: 1. Age and citizenship: Must be at least 18 years old and a citizen of the United States. 2. Physical fitness: Must be in good physical condition and able to perform physically demanding tasks associated with firefighting and rescue operations. 3. Availability: Volunteer Firefighters should be available to respond to emergency calls at various times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 4. Driver's license: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. 5. Education and certifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Firefighting certifications, such as Firefighter I and II, Hazmat Awareness and Operations, and CPR/First Aid, are desirable but not mandatory. 6.
