Sidewalkers walk alongside the horse during a lesson to provide support to the rider if they need it. They are also responsible for the safety of the rider in an emergency situation.

A Leader is in charge of the horse during a lesson, directing the horse throughout the lesson and maintaining control of the horse in an emergency situation.

Barn Hands help with the upkeep of the stalls, tack up areas, tack rooms, and walkways. This includes mucking out stalls, cleaning and oiling tack, and scooping poop.

We welcome large group volunteering projects at the Ranch, assisting with building, painting, and large-scale cleaning maintenance.

We are a volunteer firefighter organization that protects the 313 square miles of Geary County with the exception of the three cities- Junction City, Grandview Plaza and Milford. Sixteen trucks located at 9 stations manned by 70 plus volunteers make up the department. Both the Chief and Asst. Chief are full-time County employees.
