Evesham Fire-Rescue
We Need You! Don’t Delay, Join Today! We are always looking for volunteer Firefighters and EMTs. The Junior Firefighter/EMT program begins at 16 years of age. Full membership eligibility begins at 18 years of age. When am I on duty? Members have a variety of duty options and shifts, with primary coverage needed during weeknights, weekends, and weekend nights. We have bunk rooms, as well as comfortable facilities for studying, sleeping, cooking and relaxing when not on calls. Do I get paid? Trained volunteer firefighters and EMTs are available to participate in our monthly stipend program. Depending on your activity level, you may be eligible for a monthly stipend between $50 and $800. What training will I receive? Evesham Fire-Rescue will provide Firefighter and/or Emergency Medical Technician certification through one of our local fire and EMS academies. Training courses are available during the evening hours and on weekends. All tuition, equipment, and safety gear is provided by the department. Required training for a firefighter consists of approximately 125 hours of basic firefighting techniques including; fire behavior, rescue, salvage, overhaul, ladder practices, ventilation, firefighting tactics, water supply and more. Required training for an Emergency Medical Technician consists of a 240 hour state certification course which includes ambulance operations, CPR, bandaging, splinting, oxygen delivery, patient assessment, and more. These classes are usually held two nights during the week over a four month period. | Requirements: We are always looking for volunteer Firefighters and EMTs.
