Volunteer Firefighter (FF) Duties include but are not limited to; extinguishment of fires, salvaging structures, responding to vehicle accidents and rescue operations. Perform station maintenance and daily work assignments with career staff. Assist in preplans and hydrant maintenance. Attend specials events representing the department. Assist in fire prevention activities. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Must be certified by the state of NC as an Emergency Medical Technician. Must be able to conduct related lifesaving procedures on scene. Must comply with required continuing training hours of this certification.
