Mount Horeb Area Fire Department
FDMH is looking for your help! We are actively recruiting EMTs, AEMTs, Paramedics and EMS Drivers to serve in our community. We are a combination fire & EMS department, staffed by lots of volunteers and some full time staff. We serve the areas of Mount Horeb, Blue Mounds and towns of Cross Plains, Vermont, Blue Mounds, Springdale, Perry and Primrose in Dane County, Wisconsin. No prior training is needed. EMS Driver training will be provided in house. Classes for EMTs are provided at the local technical colleges. Reimbursement is available after passing the class and a time commitment to FDMH. After training and orientation, you must cover an assigned shift, either weekly during the night or on a weekend rotation. EMS also need to complete 18 hours of training each year to remain in good standing with FDMH. Emergencies happen on our highways as well as in our homes, schools and job sites. This means the safety of our community is dependent on the generous contribution of time and talent of our volunteer EMTs, EMS Drivers and Firefighters. There is nothing more satisfying in life than helping people in emergency situations. The satisfaction you will enjoy by helping to save lives and protect property in your community is immeasurable.
