The Village of Sussex accepts applications for the Firefighter/EMT-Basic and Firefighter/Paramedic positions. These positions are part-time and paid on-premise. Shifts are 12 hours (06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00) and there is a weekend/holiday commitment. Give back to the community through volunteer service. Support various agencies and participate in the annual Community Winter Bash Event to provide free winter clothing to families in need.

Engage in service-learning activities in administrative work or field work. Assist students from various high schools and colleges in gaining internship hours and learning new skills.
