Benefits The pay rate starts at $17.00 per hour for Firefighter/Paramedic, $14.98 per hour for Firefighter/EMT-A, and $14.29 per hour for Firefighter/EMT-B. An additional $0.25 per hour is paid on top of this base salary for each of the following certifications: Driver/Operator - Pumper, Driver/Operator - Aerial, Firefighter II, Emergency Services Instructor, and Fire Inspector.
