We provide free training to ensure you feel competent and confident in all the ways you serve. And we’ll be right alongside you, offering all the support you need as you develop into a certified firefighter and contributing member. | Requirements: Individuals 18 years of age and older: Complete initial application for membership. After receipt of application, the applicant will meet with an interview committee of Fire Company Officers and Members. After the interview, the application will be voted upon at the Company’s next meeting. If selected, the applicant will complete additional paperwork and successfully complete and pass required medical exam and background check. Once all paperwork is returned to the Fire Company, the Probationary member will have the below requirements: -Remain active during their 12-Month Probationary Period -Expected to respond to 25% of all alarms and participate in 50% of training events, along with any requirements set forth by the Chief and/or President -Quarterly performance reviews performed by the line and administrative officers -Must complete their one-year probationary period and pass the state Firefighter 1 exam (if applicable) -Must provide a written request to the Chief and President requesting membership’s approval to change their status from Probationary Member to Regular Member (Based on performance, a recommendation for promotion to Regular Member will be made at the appropriate monthly membership meeting.
